Patna. Stage-1 of the newer power plant will start the electricity production this month. Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav gave this information. Speaking on the budget of the Energy Department in the Assembly on Monday, the minister said that the first unit has been targeted for commercial production from July 1, 2019.

According to them, the three units of Stage I will get electricity within a year. Three units of 660 MW are being set up at Nawanagar by the NTPC's wholly-owned company, Naveen Power Generating Company. Second unit will start commercial production from January 2020 and third unit from June 2020.
Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav said that by the end of this year electricity will be given to all the farms. Keeping the government's stand on the budget of the energy department in the Assembly on Monday, the minister said that after giving electricity to every household, the government is working in the mission mode to provide electricity to every farm. For this, electricity will be provided to all applicants' fields till June 26 this year.
At present, the most important scheme for the state government is to create dedicated feeders for agriculture. For this, work is being done at the battlefield for development of infrastructure in rural areas. Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojna, 295 power sub stations, 1312 agricultural feeders and 70651 distribution sub stations are being constructed. An amount of Rs. 5827 crores has been approved for this scheme.
Our transmission capacity will be 11346 MW by March, 2020
The minister said that in the year 2004-05, there was availability of only 700 MW electricity in Bihar in the formation of Nitish government. The capital was dubbed in the darkness until Patna Today the situation has changed. Electricity has been extended to every person. We are providing electricity up to 5598 MW. Transmission and distribution efficiency is increasingly working to increase. Our transmission capacity will reach 11346 MW by March next year. Said- Today we are giving electricity to the villages 18-20 hours daily.
Energy consuming 138 MW electricity
The minister said that solar power is getting 138 MW. In this, 128 MW electricity is being supplied by solar power developers, while 10 MW electricity is being taken from Solar Energy Corporation of India. Apart from this, 88 MW power is being received from the collaboration unit. Apart from this, high power power stations are being set up in Banka, Jamui, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Nawada, Kaimur and Katihar to bring the remote areas in power net from power supply grids.
Opposition expresses dissatisfaction over minister's reply
Earlier, the Energy Minister presented a grant of 88 billion 94 crore 31 lakh 85 thousand rupees. In the debate, Rajkishore Singh, Ramdev Rai, Rajkumar Rai, Vishwa Mohan Prasad, Samata Devi, Vashishth Singh, Gayatri Devi, Poonam Paswan, Shakti Yadav, Sudama Prasad, Umesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar Singh, Sveti Hembram, Baby Kumari, Niranjan Mehta, Anita Devi Also participated. Although the opposition members expressed their dissatisfaction over the reply of the minister, they wakout the House. After this, the budget of the department without any reduction has been passed.
